“ Tanners never disappoints! We got the large pretzel, the grilled chicken bacon sandwich, the spicy chicken sandwich with beautifully battered onion rings, cheese balls and tater skins! Everything was great and so many choices on draft. Perfect for a post volleyball dinner! ”

“ Tanner’s Bar and Grill, and particularly this location, is the gold standard for a local bar and grill. The staff here is almost always top notch, even when it’s extremely busy. There are PLENTY of drink options and the food is pretty good for standard bar and grill fare. The chicken lips are the best option on the menu, and the cheese balls are a fantastic appetizer. Sadly, I would avoid the burgers here. Just not quite as good as other menu options. The real star of the show here is the staff and the atmosphere. There are TV’s everywhere and they’re always showing the things you want to watch. Very seldom have I had to ask them to change the channel. There are also tons of fun events here like music bingo and karaoke. It’s a great place to have a beer, eat some food, and watch a game. Just make sure you get there early if the Jayhawks are playing. ”

If some sort of sporting event is happening, expect the place to be very full of very loud people who take a lot of the service staff's attention. Otherwise, it can be a fun dining experience with family and/or friends. ”

“ Great bar..TV's everywhere! I had the reuben sandwich, which is one of the best in the city with a large amount of chrispy fries, and my cohorts had the wings, Buffalo style. Everything was great AND they have a large selection of ice cold beer on tap! Our waitress was awesome. Highly recommended! ”
